Privacy Policy
How Syrol Homes handles information submitted through this website and related property services.
1. Who we are
Syrol Homes and Investment Limited (RC 9736551) is an active private company limited by shares and a technology-driven real-estate company based in Abuja, Nigeria. In this policy, “Syrol Homes”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the company operating the Syrol Homes website and the relevant service connected to an enquiry.
For privacy questions and data-rights requests, contact support@syrolhomes.com.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to information processed through the Syrol Homes public website, property and service enquiries, partnership reviews and other digital interactions that link to this policy.
A separate notice may apply to a tenancy, employment relationship, property transaction, smart-home installation or partner platform where the processing activities differ materially from the public website.
3. Information we may collect
The information collected depends on the interaction and service requested. It may include:
- Identity and contact information, including name, email address and telephone number.
- Organisation, property, location and enquiry information supplied through a contact or partnership form.
- Property, ownership or authority documents submitted later through an approved secure channel.
- Communication preferences provided during an enquiry.
- Browser-storage preferences, including cookie-consent choices.
- Basic technical and usage information if optional analytics are configured and consented to where required.
4. Enquiry submission and browser storage
The public contact and partnership forms validate information in the visitor’s browser and securely transmit completed submissions to the Syrol backend. Submitted enquiries are stored for authorised follow-up, record management, service improvement, fraud prevention and applicable legal or operational requirements.
Submission notifications and visitor acknowledgements are sent through the configured email provider. The cookie-preference component separately uses browser local storage to remember whether the visitor selected essential-only or optional preferences. Optional analytics are not active merely because the interface contains an “Allow optional” choice.
5. How we use information
Where applicable, Syrol Homes may use personal information to:
- Respond to property, leasing, management, smart-living, corporate or partnership enquiries.
- Assess whether a property, project or service request fits the company’s scope.
- Arrange consultations and follow-up communication.
- Prepare, administer or support a requested contract or property transaction.
- Protect the website, users and company against misuse, fraud or security threats.
- Meet legal, regulatory, accounting and record-keeping obligations.
- Improve services and website usability using appropriately configured information and preferences.
- Send requested service communication and other messages where the recipient has opted in or another lawful basis applies.
6. Lawful bases
Depending on the activity, processing may be based on consent, steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, protection of vital interests, a task in the public interest where applicable, or a legitimate interest that does not override the individual’s rights and freedoms.
Where consent is the basis, it may be withdrawn for future processing. Withdrawal does not invalidate processing that was lawful before the withdrawal.
8. International transfers and service providers
Some technology or communication providers may process information outside Nigeria. Where this occurs, Syrol Homes will assess the transfer and use safeguards required by applicable data-protection law and the circumstances of the service.
9. Retention
Information will be kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, transaction, service, legal obligation, dispute, security purpose or other stated reason. Different records may require different retention periods.
Unsuccessful or incomplete enquiries may be retained for a limited follow-up, audit or fraud-prevention period and then deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
10. Security
Syrol Homes will use proportionate organisational and technical measures intended to protect personal information. No online transmission or storage method is completely secure, and users should not send original title documents, identity documents, bank credentials or other highly sensitive material through an unsecured contact form or ordinary social-media message.
11. Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law and any valid limitations, a person may request to:
- Receive information about how their personal data is processed.
- Access personal data held about them.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion where there is no overriding lawful reason to keep the information.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive eligible data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent for future processing where consent is relied on.
- Object to direct marketing.
- Complain to Syrol Homes or the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
12. Children and persons without transaction capacity
The website is intended for general property information and business enquiries. A person who cannot lawfully enter the relevant property or service arrangement should involve a parent, guardian or authorised representative. Syrol Homes will not knowingly structure a transaction with a minor without the approvals and safeguards required by law.
14. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when the website, backend, services, email provider, retention practices or legal requirements change. The effective and review dates will be updated when material changes are published.
Privacy enquiries and rights requests may be sent to support@syrolhomes.com. Identity or authority may need to be confirmed before a request affecting personal information is completed.
